The actuality of medical geography in Rivne region is determined. The ways of ecological risk determination based on geo-ecological analysis of the area are examined. The impact of geographical features on human health, as well as regularities of disease spreading depending on geo-ecological and anthropogenic factors is studied. The methods for a territorial unit (administrative district) rate determination according to the degree of eco-medical risk are suggested.

The algorithm of the area medical and environmental state assessment has been developed. The major environmental factors determining the health of people in Rivne region have been determined. Our own metods of the area analysis according to medical environmental risk have been worked out. The skale of the area renging accounting for medical environmental risk has been suggested. The ranging of Rivne region area according to medico-demographical, ecological, radiological and integrated (medical environmental) indeces has been carried out. Thematic maps for the assessment of Rivne region districts accounting for medical and ecological risks have been made.
